Update:
Turns out that this place is good for a quick breakfast as well. We arranged to meet up at Chatswood Chase with some relatives that lived nearby before going out and lo and behold, this was the place they recommended.
Had toasted banana bread and another chai latte. The banana bread was moist yet crisp and the chai was well done. Will be coming back in the future. -

Dirty place. Ridiculous how you have to add $5 bacon to eggs beni when it says it on the menu. Dumb how you have to pay an extra 50 cents to change the milk, sorry I can't drink from cow tit. Food is cold and the $5 bacon wasn't even cooked. Poached eggs hard in middle but all this juice coming from the white.

Used to be a great place. But it has turned awful lately. Food is still good but the service isn't.
Also they'll serve bad coffee (badly burnt my tongue) and instead of being sorry they'll blame it on the machine. -

I know it might seem like Jamaica Blues are a dime a dozen these days, but the Chatty Chase cafe is worth a mention. Firstly it's really well located right near the central light-well, making it a genuinely pleasant place to sit (I'm already well on record as disliking shopping centre cafes, so take this for what you will!).
The staff are always lovely and mercifully patient if you have a little 'un in toe. I appreciate the water jugs with slices of orange and lemon in them. That's a nice touch.
The coffees are very barista dependent (aren't they always!), but the blend is smooth and if you stay away from the bigger sized mugs then you're more likely to get a good brew.
I like that the tables are spread out - there's a collection on either side of the kiosk then soft benches and tables lining the shopping centres inner void as well. It means there's plenty of room for shopping trolleys or strollers - and even a bit of screaming room for unruly children.
In short: a good shopping centre cafe is well worth knowing about. -

Jamaica Blue is centrally situated in Chatswood's Chatswood Chase shopping complex. It attracts hoards of hungry customers who are midway through their shopping expedition. They offer a variety of pastries, cakes, sandwiches and drinks. Jamaica Blue is the perfect destination to take a break from all the shopping.
Their coffee is renowned and their food is popular. The cafe style restaurant is always buzzing with customers having their orders taken by the friendly staff. Tables and seating and plentiful which is a major plus considering the shopping centre can get quite busy.
